AS WE APPROACH THE YEAR'S END, WE TAKE A LOOK BACK AT SOME OF THE ACHIEVEMENTS MADE BY OUR TEAM THIS YEAR.
 
DRAGO CONSOLIDATES THE IBERIAN TEAM AND CONTINUES ITS INTERNATIONAL GROWTH  
After more than 15 years operating in the Iberian Peninsula, DRAGO looks to establish its presence on the international market. In August, DRAGO opened its offices in the USA, thus making a firm commitment to consolidate its vision as a unique value-add investment platform which aspires to become a global reference.
All this is possible thanks to the team of excellent professionals that make up DRAGO.

ATITLAN-DRAGO AND AC WILL OPEN AN AUTOGRAPH HOTEL IN SEVILLE , A LUXURY BRAND BY MARRIOT

 
The real estate investment and asset management platform DRAGO together with its local partner Atitlan, both co-owners of Banco Andalucía’s former headquarters building in Seville, has reached an agreement with AC Hotels to open an Autograph hotel, one of Marriott’s luxury brands.
Marriott’s Autograph Collection includes a series of boutique hotels all over the world. In Spain, there are seven hotels including three in Madrid; Santo Mauro; Palacio del Retiro; the casino and hotel Círculo Gran Vía; and in the rest of Spain: Cotton House in Barcelona, Palacio Santa Paula in Granada, Palacio del Carmen in Santiago de Compostela, and the AC Baqueira Ski Resort located in Lérida. The new hotel in Seville will be the eighth property within this exclusive collection in Spain.
The property is located on the Avenida de la Constitución, nearby Seville’s Plaza Nueva. The new hotel will enjoy a privileged location next to one of the city’s main commercial hubs.

 
 
PARQUE MELILLA,
THE FIRST SHOPPING CENTER IN MELILLA 
In 2008, DRAGO had the vision to create Parque Melilla, the first shopping centre in the autonomous city of Melilla. Almost 10 years later, this vision has become a reality with the inauguration of the centre this past December 1st. The project, which DRAGO developed in association with Murias Group, has required an investment of approximately 50 Million Euros and will generate circa 580 direct Jobs and another 800 indirects. Parque Melilla has a GLA of 34.000m2 and amongst its tenants are a hypermarket together with fashion and services operators.
 
Parque Melilla was conceived as a regional shopping centre, destined for the inhabitants of Melilla and the neighbouring Morrocan population, especially Nador. In total, the catchment area is estimated to have a population of around 700,000

In the unit in Parque Melilla reserved for DRAGO, we have signed an agreement to lease with the home improvement a retailer AKI to open a store in 2018. The fit out works will be commencing at the beginning of the year.

A NEW DIMENSION IN THE MAIN ARTERY OF THE CITY

CASTELLANA 200, THE FIRST SPANISH OFFICE BUILDING WITH B+ QUALITY CERTIFICATION
 
The property is the first shopping centre which the Agency of Spanish Offices (AEO) has granted a B+, a certificate of technical excellence for the building.
In order to gain the distinction of a B+, the building, property of Silvercode Investments and managed by DRAGO and CBRE, had to undergo a demanding evaluation measuring 45 specific parameters.

CASTELLANA 200 LAUNCHES A NEW BRAND IMAGE

Castellana 200 shopping center, managed by Drago and CBRE, has launched a repositioning campaign under the slogan “Be practical” that highlights, convenience, comfort and accessibility of the centre, thanks to its size, location, design and commercial mix. Bearing this in mind, several on and off line actions, as well as the new website www.castellana200.com, have been launched with the aim of increasing customer awareness and convenience for shoppers.

CASTELLANA 200 UP TO DATE WITH TECHNOLOGY

 
We have taken on a new challenge betting on the latest apps and positioning the shopping centre as a building at the forefront of technology. Castellana 200, is one of the public parkings available through the application of WeSmartPark, which allows to park using an android, IOS or Microsoft terminal.
 
 
 

SILVERCODE: CONSOLIDATED AS ONE OF THE 45 SPANISH SOCIMIS ON THE MAB
 


This year Silvercode achieved the free float requirement imposed by the Mercado Alternativo Bursatil (MAB) to all the listed companies. Two years after it was quoted on the alternative stock market, more than 20 private investors placed their bets on Silvercode, a project in which DRAGO has once again demonstrated its capacity to add value.

The Movie Theatres of Plaza Norte 2 Shopping Centre in Madrid are today the best in Spain after the Yelmo Cinemas refurbishment. After almost 3 months of works, the installations reopened its doors to the public in November. Following their Mexican parent company culture, Cinepolis, Yelmo has taken its chances to improve the experience for all its users introducing unique services such as Yelmo Luxury and the junior halls. Yelmo Luxury offers an exclusive experience in intimate and comfortable halls, together with maximum sound and image quality. The Junior halls are especially conceived for children with slides and play areas. These cinemas are a unique experience which everyone should visit.
OCEAN HILLS,
OUR SUCCESSFUL RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT ON THE COSTA DEL SOL
In Estepona, Malaga, next to Parque Selwo, DRAGO has completed the construction of 62 homes within the urbanization of Ocean Hills (http://www.oceanhillsestepona.com/).

The complex is a contemporary construction with tropical gardens and two community pools looking over the hills, valleys and pine forests of the natural park, setting for the development.
 
The complex is comprised of  residential units oriented to the south west that include  while  bedrooms and the penthouses have ample sunny rooms that offer exceptional views of the countryside and the sea. About to complete the handover of the last units, the absolute success obtained from this development has sparked the initiation of the second phase in the same area.
For this second phase, including 34 homes we have selected the architectural studio of SERRANO FONT. The commercialization will be done over plans in 2018 and as per the first phase, sales will be under the agents of ALTAVISTA PROPERTY, the real estate leaders of the COSTA DEL SOL.
 
2150 PARK AVENUE, 
OUR STAKE  IN THE UNITED STATES MARKET
In August 2017, DRAGO closed its first transaction in the USA through the purchase of the residential asset located on 2150 Park Avenue, in Miami.  The building, located on one of the best areas of Miami Beach, dates back to 1947 and it is comprised of 20 residential apartments
Located next to the convention centre, the golf course, one block away from the beach and very close to Lincoln Road Mall (one of the top 10 commercial streets in the USA), the property shares its location with some of the most touristic centers and emblematic properties of South Beach, such as Loews, The Shore Club, The Delano, The W, The Setai and 1 Hotel & Homes.
With a cosmetic refurbishment, DRAGO will convert the building into a property that will be dedicated to  residential tourism, a market on the rise in the Miami area, especially considering that the city is one of the top vacation destinations.
